Our Mission

  • Access to Care

Many veterans face challenges such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders. Reports indicate that less than half of veterans needing mental health services receive treatment, and of those, fewer than one-third receive evidence-based care.

  • The Statistics

Veterans are at 72% higher risk of suicide than those who haven't served. The suicide rate for veterans was 31.7 per 100,000 individuals in 2020, which is significantly higher than the non-veteran rate of 16.1 per 100,000.

  • Social Isolation

Transitioning from military to civilian life can lead to social isolation and a loss of identity and purpose, which can increase the risk of suicide. The loss of camaraderie and support systems that are part of military life can be challenging to cope with.
